Niche expertise in conflict of laws and matters of art law and recovery proceedings, foreign and domestic. Tax law and appeals.

Educated in England (St. Paul’s, London) and Germany (Bonn University, Dr. iur., 1987). Research fellow at the Institute of Private International and Comparative Law, Bonn University, 1980-1985. Certified tax counsel, 1993. PGDip in EC Competition Law, King’s College London, 1996. CertHE Psychology, OU, 2010.
Called to the Bar, Bonn District Court, 1985; Appeal Bar, Cologne, 1990. Following early years as advocate and partner of Eimer, Heuschmid, Mehle, Bonn, partner of Lüer & Görg and Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, Cologne, until 2000. Member of the Bar of the Federal Supreme Court, Karlsruhe, since 2001 (2007-2019 in partnership with Gunhild Schäfer, LL.M., now Frankfurt).

 

Publications in the areas of private international, pharmaceutical, press, company, European and art recovery law. Commentator on private international property and environmental law.
